This document describes how escalations can be defined and users are informed prior to expiration of activities. By default, names of activities whose deadline for beginning or completion has expired are shown in italics. For missed deadlines an escalation can be configured. In this way for example a message is sent to one or multiple users to inform them about expiration of the deadline.
