Block Template

The Fabasoft Integration for Autodesk AutoCAD provides a drawing template for each new FSCAUTOCAD@1.1001:Drawing and FSCAUTOCAD@1.1001:Project object. This drawing contains a block named FSCBlock which is configured as a well-known block by default. The block's only reference is updated to the current Fabasoft Folio field values when opening the drawing.

The following attributes are defined within the FSCBlock in the drawing:

• FieldName
• FieldSubject
• FieldCreatedBy
• FieldCreatedAt
• FieldCurrentVersion

The fields use "-" as the default value.

Example:

1. The AutoCAD drawing includes an empty block (FSCBlock).
   
2. An AutoCAD Drawing is created in the Fabasoft Folio Domain.
   
3. The attributes of the FSCBlock are immediately updated when the drawing is opened in Autodesk AutoCAD.
   
4. The property Subject is modified in the Fabasoft Folio Domain.
   
5. The changed value of the Subject property (and therefore of the FieldSubject field) is updated in the FSCBlock.
